JT is captain for keeps

JOHN TERRY will be restored as England's permanent captain today.

Three Lions boss Fabio Capello will announce his decision tonight.

Amazingly the Italian has still not told current skipper Rio Ferdinand that he has been dumped, despite a week of speculation that Terry had won back the armband.

Yet Capello hopes the Manchester United star will still agree to now become vice-captain.

But while Ferdinand will feel betrayed by his boss, Chelsea star Terry is delighted to have recaptured the armband.

He was Capello's first choice as captain but lost the job last season when news broke of his alleged affair with the ex-girlfriend of team-mate Wayne Bridge.

Terry will lead England out against Wales in Cardiff next week and on into the finals of Euro 2012.
