Cowdenbeath look set to include former Rangers player Bob Malcolm as a trialist for the second time when Dundee visit Central Park.
However, injuries may deny Joe Mbu and Lee Makel starting places.
The Blue Brazil fought back from three goals down to win 4-3 at the weekend, but manager Jimmy Nicholl was far from pleased.
He said: "We gave away really bad goals against Stirling and I don`t want the result to mask that.
"There was a benefit in that it gives us a bit of breathing space and we have something to build on in terms of staying in this division.
"Dundee are on a great run just now and all I can ask the boys to do is to go out and give it their all."
Dundee youngster Kyle Benedictus is in line to make his first start of the season as regular centre-back Craig McKeown is suspended.
Recent trialists Neil McCann, Craig Robertson and Graham Bayne are all available and a maximum of two can be used by manager Barry Smith, with the Dens Park boss warning his men that there must be no repeat of their last trip to Central Park which ended in a 2-1 defeat.
Smith said: "This will be a tough game, and what happened down there the last time should be sufficient motivation for us to go out and win this one.
"A win is another step forward in our plans to stay in this division."
