Stirling Albion vs Cowdenbeath preview - Duo out for Albion
Posted Saturday, March 05, 2011 by PA
Stirling Albion goalkeeper Callum Reidford is still missing and will be joined on the sidelines by suspended captain Ross Forsyth for the crucial home clash with Cowdenbeath.
Scott Buist is a doubt but Martyn Corrigan, who has been missing since before Christmas with an ankle knock, could make his return on the Albion bench.
The importance of the game is not lost on manager Jocky Scott, who said: "This is a big game in a big week for us that began when we drew with Ross County.
"We need a wee break in front of goal and if we get that I am sure we will convert one point into three. We never got a break against County so we are due one in this game."
Cowdenbeath trio Joe Mbu, John Armstrong and Lee Makel are all facing fitness tests.
Dene Droudge and Danny Mackay remain sidelined and manager Jimmy Nicholl has drafted a trialist in as cover should any of the three players not make it.
Nicholl said: "It will be lunchtime before we know what the team will be but I have an experienced player standing by to feature if required.
"A win for us would be a terrific result and would have a really positive effect on how we face the busy schedule of games coming up.
"We have beaten them twice before but that will count for nothing.
