Queen of South 2 : 2 Stirling Albion - Smith denies Doonhamers

Struggling Stirling claimed a precious point against Queen of the South courtesy of a hard-earned 2-2 draw at Palmerston Park.
Chris Aitken's early goal ended the Binos` run of four games without a goal, but they threw away their lead before snatching a share of the spoils in the closing stages.
The deadlock was broken in the 17th minute when Aitken turned home Tom Brighton's cross from close range.
But Kenny Brannigan's side, who notched four against Morton at the weekend, hit back after the break with Colin McMenamin grabbing the equaliser from inside the box before Ryan McGuffie's long-range effort put the hosts in front.
Stirling were not to be denied, though, and when Brighton played in Gordon Smith, the 20-year-old made no mistake from inside the six-yard box.
