Second-placed Dunfermline were held to a 0-0 draw by third-bottom Ross County.

Kevin Rutkiewicz should have opened the scoring as early as the sixth minute but his close-range effort was saved by Michael McGovern in the County goal.

Martin Hardie also had a chance for the visitors in the 18th minute but his header was easily saved by McGovern.

The home side were limited to half-chances with Steven Milne twice failing to direct efforts on goal, while Paul Di Giacomo's long-range strike was easily saved by Chris Smith.

The draw means Dunfermline failed to close the gap on Raith at the top of the table after Rovers suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Dundee, while County stay level on points with second-bottom Cowdenbeath.
