I have a say

Defender Darren McCormack and striker Stevie Craig remain sidelined Ross County as Jimmy Calderwood makes his debut at Victoria Park against Dunfermline.

Calderwood was due to face one of his former sides at the weekend until the weather put paid to that, but it has not lessened his enthusiasm for his first game.

He said: "I am really looking forward to the game as I watched Dunfermline last week and they are a good side that likes to play football and so are Ross County."

Three points for County will lift Calderwood's men above his great friend Jimmy Nicholl's Cowdenbeath side, and Calderwood said: "We haven`t won enough at home this season and this would be a great one to start with."

Former Ross County defender Andy Dowie is a major doubt for Dunfermline and he is expected to join long-term injured midfielder Steven Bell on the sidelines.

Pars boss Jim McIntrye remains wary of facing Jimmy Calderwood's side in his first game in charge, and said: "Jimmy has had a few more days working with his men and will have spent that time really building them up for this game.

"He will be out to get his reign off to a flying start but we need to concentrate on what we are about and go out and win.

"With Falkirk not playing we have the chance of increasing our gap on them and of course we can gain ground if Raith Rovers drop anything against Dundee and we win."
