East Fife 0-0 Brechin City - Fifers hold on for point

Relegation candidates East Fife held Brechin to a credible 0-0 draw at the Bayview stadium.
The Fifers survived early pressure from the team seven places above them in the league.
Rory McAllister tested the home side's mettle with a succession of early strikes on goal, his best effort was tipped around the post by East Fife goalkeeper Michael Brown, who enjoyed a solid afternoon between the posts.
Robert Linn registered the home side's best effort with a drilled 30-yard strike which whistled past the left-hand post of Brechin keeper Craig Nelson.
As the game petered out into what looked like an inevitable stalemate, Brechin had one last chance to grab a winner.
Centre-half Ewan Moyes trudged forward for a last-minute corner but he could not direct his header past Brown and the game ended goalless.
