Stenhousemuir 0 : 1 Forfar Athletic - Bolocheweckyj strike enough for fighting Forfar
Posted Saturday, February 05, 2011 by PA
Forfar moved into the last play-off spot with a fine 1-0 win over Stenhousemuir despite playing out 70 minutes with 10 men.
Michael Bolocheweckyj headed Forfar in front after just 14 minutes but Martyn Fotheringham saw red for foul and abusive language just six minutes later.
However, Stenhousemuir failed to dominate proceedings despite the numerical advantage and struggled to muster any real openings in front of goal, instead relying on a number of long-range efforts which failed to trouble Scott Gallacher in the Forfar goal.
Eric Paton, Iain Campbell and Iain Thomson all tried in vein to find the equaliser but in the end the away side held on to claim a valuable three points.
