Morton boss Allan Moore is hoping to add striker Derek Lyle to his squad ahead of the clash with Cowdenbeath.

The arrival of the former Dundee and Hamilton forward is expected to be the club`s final piece of transfer business this season.

The Greenock side have a doubt over midfielder Darren Young, but everyone else in the squad is available to Moore as they look to earn their first win of the season over the Fifers.

Moore said: "Once Derek is in that will be us for the season. We have dropped a lot of points against Cowdenbeath already this season and I don`t wish us to drop anymore.

"We are raring to go after so long without a game and are hoping that the training we have done will pay off."

Cowdenbeath look set to hand recent signing Lewis Coult an earlier-than-expected debut.

The forward arrived at the club from Arniston Rangers earlier this month.

The Blue Brazil will be missing defenders Joe Mbu and Dene Droudge and midfielder Danny Mackay as they look to earn a second win of the season at Cappielow.

Central Park boss Jimmy Nicholl said: "Lewis gives us something different up front and I am very tempted to throw him in against Morton and see what happens.

"The most important thing for us is to stop giving goals away easily and I will be looking for a good bit more from my side than what I saw when we played Dunfermline.

"Our fitness is better since that game so hopefully that will help us at Morton."
