Chelsea striker Borini to Parma?
Posted Wednesday, January 05, 2011 by ESPN
Parma sporting director Pietro Leonardi has refused to reveal whether they are tracking Chelsea striker Fabio Borini.
Parma have been heavily linked with a January approach for the highly rated 19-year-old, but for now Leonardi is being coy on the subject.
"Borini? He's a very good player, a young player, but he's a Chelsea player," he was quoted on the club's official website as saying.
Speculation has been increasing regarding the Serie A side's desire to bring the Chelsea player back to his homeland. Borini joined Chelsea three years ago and has steadily moved through the club's academy ranks. However, a lack of first team appearances is understood to have left the striker frustrated.
Borini started his career at Bologna.
