Vigurs makes telling contribution

A late strike from Iain Vigurs gave struggling Ross County a 1-1 draw at home to Queen of the South.
The visitors took the lead early on and against the run play when striker Colin McMenamin tapped in from all of six yards with 18 minutes on the clock.
But Ross County showed fantastic grit and determination to dominate the remainder of the encounter, creating chances but not showing the quality required to finish any of them.
They were nearly punished for their wastefulness in front of goal in the 70th minute when a Robert Harris thunderbolt from over 35 yards was fantastically saved by County keeper Michael McGovern.
But the deserved Ross equaliser finally came with less than 10 minutes remaining as midfielder Vigurs attempted his own long-range effort and found the back of the net.
