McNeil back for Raith

I have a say

Raith Rovers have goalkeeper Andy McNeil available after injury for their home match with Ross County.

The second-placed side now have just Dougie Hill on the sidelines at Kirkcaldy.

Raith manager John McGlynn is not getting fooled by Ross County's sluggish start to the season.

He said: "Quite often at the end of the first quarter of a season there are teams in a false position and Ross County come into that category.

"You do not reach the finals of the Scottish and the ALBA Cups without having quality and they have that.

"They are a good side and it is only a matter of time before they start pushing up the table and I am hoping that it will be after their game with us."

Ross County wideman Ian Vigurs sits out the second game of his two-match suspension.

County's attacking threat has been further reduced with the absence of Paul Di Giacomo through a hernia problem, and the likely non-appearance of Andrew Barrowman because of illness.

Steven Craig and Gary Wood are in line for striking positions as Derek Adams sends his men out looking for their first away win since the opening day of the league season.

Adams said: "Raith Rovers have done really well and their home form has been really good apart from the wee blip against Stirling.

"We are a wee bit short of front men but we have a reasonable record down there."
