Paton punishes Bairns

Paul Paton scored the only goal as struggling Partick earned a precious win over Falkirk.
Paton grabbed what proved to be the winner with a fantastic volley from 18 yards after 17 minutes.
The home side should have had more to show for their dominance with Paul Cairney running the game in the middle of the park but some wayward shooting kept the Bairns in the game.
Falkirk should have levelled just before half-time when Carl Finnegan somehow missed from six yards while Carl Finnigan's speculative shot from long range was almost fumbled by keeper Thistle stopper Bryn Halliwell.
The referee tried to liven proceedings up by showing the yellow card six times in the second half in what wasn't a particularly a feisty game.
