Byrne bags three as Sons hit for six

Kurtis Byrne was the hat-trick hero as East Fife romped to a 6-0 demolition of Dumbarton at the Bayview Stadium.
Byrne's triple strike helped Fife to their second consecutive win with the pick of his goals coming after 71 minutes, a curling left-footed strike leaving keeper Steven Grindley no chance.
It proved to be a miserable afternoon for Grindley as Dumbarton are still yet to record a single point and look increasingly like relegation favourites so early into the new season.
Lloyd Young slotted home Robert Sloan`s cross for the opener after 15 minutes before Byrne netted twice, both from 12 yards, inside the final 10 minutes of the first half.
Robert Linn made it 4-0 after 59 minutes from 12 yards after being set up by Scott Durie before Byrne claimed the match ball with a brilliant strike.
Sloan completed the scoring seven minutes from time when his drilled shot found the bottom-left corner.
