Campbell baffled by Capello snub
Sol Campbell believes he missed out on a place in Fabio Capello's World Cup squad because the Italian simply does not like him as a player.
The 35-year-old England defender, who rejoined Arsenal in January, made an impressive return to top-flight action and manager Arsene Wenger felt he had done enough to make a claim for a place on the plane to South Africa, but Capello did not agree.
Campbell told ESPNsoccernet: "I have never met Capello, but you get the sense that he has never liked me as a player because he has never considered me, as far as I know, which is curious."
