In Dukes Of Hazzard, size-8 Jessica was the image of feminine perfection with big boobs and a tiny waist, achieved by a low-carb diet and working out two hours a day, six days a week.
A two-year relationship with American football star Tony Romo, 30, can only have put Jess, 29, under even more pressure to maintain the tiny figure that didn't come naturally to her.
It took their split last July for her to finally embrace her natural curves.
Now a size 10-12, she's said: "I don't care what people say about my weight. I think I look great."
