Forfar booked their place in the Scottish Second Division play-off final as it finished 2-2 against East Stirling at Station Park.
Having edged the first leg 1-0, goals from James Bishop and Stephen Tulloch ensured the draw the home side needed to set up a final against Arbroath.
It looked as if it was going to be an easy ride for the Loons as they went ahead through Bishop's header after four minutes.
However, the team-talk at half-time galvanised Stirling and they scored through Andrew Rodgers after 48 minutes, placing the ball in the top corner from six yards.
Rodgers struck again after 75 minutes setting up a tense finish.
But Tulloch settled it for Forfar with a fine header eight minutes from time.
East Stirling's Edward Forrest was dismissed late on for a second bookable offence as the away team became frustrated with the outcome.
