McLaren stars in Queens win

Queen of the South piled the pressure on struggling Raith by picking up a comfortable 3-0 win at Palmerston Park.
Raith had started brightly in their quest to pull away from danger as Graham Weir spurned a glorious chance from six yards.
But thereafter Queens bossed the affair and their authority was stamped when William McLaren crossed for Derek Holmes to notch the opener.
The hosts doubled their advantage after 25 minutes, this time Paul Burns getting on the end of a McLaren delivery.
Rovers desperately searched for a way back but McLaren capped off an impressive display by getting on the scoresheet himself with 10 minutes left with a curling effort from 18 yards.
The defeat means Raith remain just three points above the relegation play-off place but have three games in hand to pull away from their rivals.
