Steve Doris ended his goal drought to boost Arbroath's chances of avoiding a relegation play-off following a 2-2 draw at high-flying Stirling.
Second-from-bottom Arbroath took the lead in the 20th minute when Doris found the bottom corner from 12 yards for his first goal in 10 games.
But Stirling levelled seven minutes before the break through Andy Graham, who headed home David O'Brien's corner.
Arbroath midfielder Keith Gibson forced a good save out of Stirling stopper Scott Christie just before half-time.
The home side went ahead five minutes after the restart with Iain Russell, on loan from Morton, firing home from 25 yards for his second goal in as many games and first at home.
Ian Nimmo was introduced as a 65th-minute substitute and eight minutes later set up Doris for his second of the night from close range.
The point means Arbroath are three points behind eighth-placed Stenhousemuir with three games remaining while Stirling stay third.
