Peterhead eye play-off dash
Posted Tuesday, March 23, 2010 by PA
Peterhead boosted their faint play-off hopes with a 3-1 win over East Fife at Balmoor.
East Fife had the best chance of the first half but David Muir could not find the net as he dragged his effort wide just before the interval.
The visitors went ahead three minutes after the break as Muir drilled home from 18 yards after good work from Stephen Crawford.
Two goals in two minutes put Peterhead in control, Barry Wilson finished neatly inside the area after 68 minutes before Martin Bavidge's 20-yard drive found the bottom corner a minute later.
David Ross doubled their advantage nine minutes from time when Barry Wilson picked the striker out to record his seventh goal of the season.
