Dunfermline ran out 3-1 victors over Queen of the South in a game that saw each side have a men sent off at East End Park.
The hosts had the three points in the bag when Calum Woods was dismissed for violent conduct in the 88th minute, with Queens man Steven McKenna departing for an early bath two minutes later after picking up his second yellow.
Earlier, the Pars had taken the lead when Steven McDougall found the bottom corner with a well-placed shot from 12 yards with 18 minutes on the clock.
Dunfermline then doubled their lead two minutes before the interval as Woods tapped home from close range.
Queens threatened a comeback with 20 minutes remaining, David Weatherston slotting home a Paul Burns cross to make it 2-1.
But Jim McIntyre's men made the win safe from an 86th-minute penalty when Steven Bell rifled into the top corner after Robert Harris fouled David Graham in the box.
