The Zebrette coach rued a missed chance to move further away from the dangerzone…
After watching his Udinese outfit play out a 0-0 draw with struggling Atalanta this afternoon, coach Pasquale Marino bemoaned a missed opportunity as the Zebrette remain just five points above the dropzone.
“I’m still not sure whether this is one point gained or two points lost,” Marino declared to SkySport shortly after the game.
“As things are we must consider Atalanta as ours direct rivals in the race for salvation.
“With this in mind, we simply couldn’t afford to lose today. However, in the same light a win would have been priceless and could have eased some pressure off the players' shoulders.
“I feel that we rarely risked conceding this afternoon and after creating chances ourselves, I can console myself with the manner in which we controlled the game.”
