Magpies: Winding-up petition dismissed

Notts County have confirmed that a winding-up petition against the club has been dismissed at a High Court hearing.
The League Two outfit have been hit by financial problems recently and are again under new ownership after Ray Trew bought the club from Peter Trembling.
Trew told the club's official website: "I would like to officially call for an end to any discussion regarding what has gone before, to close that ill-fated chapter in Notts County's illustrious history and to focus solely on matters out on the pitch, where there is still a lot of work to be done this season."
Trew is the club's third owner this season, after Trembling bought the club from Munto Finance, and he announced this week that the club will not be going into administration.
Trew, who appointed Steve Cotterill as manager on Tuesday, is hoping to embark on a bright new era at Meadow Lane.
