Bundesliga Sunday Round-up: High-Flying Frankfurt Advance To Nosebleed Territory

The club that head coach Michael Skibbe recently deemed "lacking in ambition" won yet again, drawing level on points with Werder Bremen.
Mainz 1-0 Borussia M'gladbach
Mainz improved their home record to seven wins and three draws in ten matches with a solid performance today. At the end of an evenly played first-half, central defender Bo Svensson tapped in from a set-piece, and his strike was all Mainz needed to take three points. M'gladbach were the more forward-minded side in the second half, but were unable to break their hosts defense before the final whistle.
Borussia Dortmund 2-3 Eintracht Frankfurt
Benjamin Koehler nodded in a Patrick Ochs cross on eight minutes to give Frankfurt a surprise lead. The visitors' advantage would last for less than ten minutes as in-form central defender Mats Hummels converted a tap-in to level the score. The two teams played an entertaining first half, but neither was able to break the deadlock before the whistle was blown for halftime.
After the break, Dortmund's defense solidified, and striker Lucas Barrios put his team ahead shortly before the hour-mark. Fortune would favor the visitors, however.
On 65 minutes, fullback Sebastian Jung took his team's first shot of the half, and scored a real cracker from distance. With a quarter of an hour left, Alexander Meier put Frankfurt ahead, and the visitors held on for a 3-2 victory.
