Salvador Cabanas Awake And Talking To Relatives

Salvador Cabanas looks to be well on the road to recovery, after he woke up and conversed with relatives at the hospital.
Ernesto Martinez, the doctor in charge of him, said that he was no longer under sedation, and that Cabanas was even able to move part of his body, referring to the progress as a "miracle." He added that the edema has not disappeared, but has diminished in size.
Elaborating on the situation, Martinez said that it was important for Cabanas to remain conscious, to avoid any further complications. He has been removed from the respirator, and will be able to leave intensive therapy soon if he continues this progress. Cabanas was already able to move some parts of his body on the right hand side.
Finally, Martinez stated that 80% of those who get shot in the skull die, confirming that Cabanas should be able to leave intensive therapy within three days to a week.
