Toffees inflict first defeat on Mancini

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini had to endure the bitter taste of defeat for the first time in five games since taking charge as Everton secured a 2-0 win.

The Toffees were good value for their victory and sealed the points in the first 45 minutes of the Barclays Premier League contest at Goodison Park.

Steven Pienaar made the breakthrough in the 36th minute and Louis Saha extended their lead with a disputed penalty in first half stoppage-time.
