Ribery to miss another month

Bayern Munich could be without their forward Franck Ribery for more than a month.
The France international is still struggling with an injury to his patella which has ruled him out for much of the season and after missing Wednesday night's 2-1 defeat to Bordeaux, the German club's coach Louis van Gaal later revealed that he does not expect to have him back in action for at least another month.
"I cannot confirm how long he will be out for. We have decided to treat him and that could take a month, but I don't want to be precise," he said.
However, France's L'Equipe newspaper claims that the player may well be out until next March.
It claims that it would take that long for Ribery's problems to be resolved thoroughly with there being no risk of him suffering a relapse like the one which has kept him out of Bayern's past two matches.
France assistant coach Alain Boghossian has already practically accepted that he will not have the player for the World Cup qualifying play-off against Ireland next month.
"For me, Franck is practically out of the play-off," he said.
