Vossen inspires Brugge at Mechelen moving second

  • Club Brugge came from behind to beat KV Mechelen 4-1 in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday (29th November).

With Pro League leaders Gent winning on Saturday, Club Brugge knew a win on Sunday was vital to keep in touch.

Brugge were in the heart of Belgium as they visited KV Mechelen.

And the home side took a 28th minute lead with Jens Naessens's finish.

The touch from Sofiane Hanni in the lead up, was quite brilliant.

Not much happened until midway through the second period, however Jelle Vossen made it worth the wait.

The substitute would score in second in far more straightforward fashion.

Vossen was again involved in Brugge's third as his initial effort fell to Tuur Dierckx.

Brugge added a fourth before the end as they sit neatly in behind Gent in second, two points off the summit.

Mechelen lie the 13th in 18 points.
