Mourinho: "We deserve credit for keeping a clean sheet"

Monday, November 30 2015 by SNTV
  • Reaction from Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino after defending English Premier League champions Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday (29th November).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jose Mourinho, Chelsea manager:

"I think, if we deserve credit to keep the clean sheet, and I think we do, I think Tottenham deserves even more credit to keep the cleansheet, because we were the most dangerous team and we had the best chances and (Tottenham Hotspur's Hugo) Lloris, was the goalkeeper with, more work and was the goalkeeper with the save of the game. So I think, congratulations to them."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jose Mourinho, Chelsea manager (asked if he was aware that Diego Costa had thrown his substitutes' bib at him):

"If he wants to hurt me it is not with a bib! So, I have a good relationship with him. No problems."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur manager (asked if the draw felt like two points dropped):

"Yes, and this is a good thing, because we play again the last champion and.... it's good that you got the feeling that, Chelsea was a small team maybe, no, and Tottenham can win every game that we play. This is very difficult.... it's not easy. We are a.... with (one of) the younger team on the Premier League and the maturity we showed today.... we showed in different games, I think, that we need to feel happy."
