Thorbjorn Olesen wins the Dunhill Links on Sunday with a two stroke victory and former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack gets in on the action at St Andews
Script:
The final day of the Alfred Dunhill tournament at St Andrews where fourballs are made up of two professionals and two amateur players,
Overnight leader Thorbjorn Olesen started three shots in front and endured an early wobble, a bogey at the 3rd. But he settled back into his final round, his composure
producing this comfortable birdie at the 15th.
The Dane finished cooly: 18-under overall, enough to take the win by two shots.
Brooks Koepka teed off the day as one of a six players in with a chance of victory - but it wasn't to be for the American despite a final day 67, helped by this birdie at the 14th
His round of five-under leaving him two shots short.
Compatriot Chris Stroud ended the day where he'd started, in second, this birdie at the 18th earning him a round of four under after he bogeyed the 16th.
And at least one former Chelsea player has cause to celebrate, The amateur trophy going to Michael Ballack.
For Olesen, it was just what the doctor ordered: he's struggled since injuring his hand earlier in the season.
He was in danger of losing his card - but not anymore. Exemption until 2017 and just over half a million pounds in prize money.
