  • SuggestedLeadIn: Usain Bolt won gold in the 4x100-metre relay on day eight of the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China on Saturday (29th August).

Script: Usain Bolt added to his medal tally with yet another gold at the World Championships in Beijing on Saturday.

The double gold medallist lined up with his Jamaican teammates in the 4x100m relay loking to defend their world title.

Bolt took the baton on the anchor leg and held off the challenge of the USA, for his third medal of the championships.

And in the women's 4x100 relay, Jamaica's women were hoping to emulate the success of their male counterparts.

And it was Shelley Fraser-Pryce who anchored the team to victory with a storming run to record a championship record time of 41.07.

USA one again taking silver, with Trinidad and Tobago taking bronze.

Also looking to defend his world title and add to his championship tally, Olympic champion Mo Farah.

After a stumble in his 5000m heat, the Briton progressed safely to the final, where ran a blistering final lap of 52.6 seconds to hold off the challenge of Kenya's Commonwealth champion Caleb Ndiku.

He added the 5000m gold to the 1000m title he won earlier in the week.
