  • SuggestedLeadIn: Kevin Anderson reached the final of the Winston-Salem Open on Friday (28th August) with a straight sets win over Malek Jaziri, while French qualifier Pierre-Hugues Herbert reached his first ATP World Tour final when he beat 13th-seeded American Steve Johnson 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2.

Script: In the first semi-final of the Winston-Salem Open, second seed Kevin Anderson made light work of Tunisia's Malek Jaziri.

The 6-foot-8 Anderson was too powerful throughout the match, hitting a series of impressive winners.

He eased to the final with a 6-4, 6-3 win.

It's the South African's third championship match this season - he also made finals at Memphis, Tennessee, and the Queen's Club in London - and the 11th of his career with a straight-forward victory.

In the other semi-final, French qualifier Pierre-Hugues Herbert reached his first ATP World Tour final when he beat 13th-seeded American Steve Johnson 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2.

Herbert, ranked 140th will play his ninth match in eight days.

He won three qualifying matches to make the main draw, then won five more to advance to his meeting with Anderson.
