"I like Mexico being regarded as one of the favourites to win the Copa America. There'll be a lot to talk about teams like Brazil, Argentina, the home nation Chile, Colombia who had a great World Cup, Uruguay who have a lot of history, that could beat us but we have set our goal and we are determined to achieve it."

"I have never speculated on who'll be in my squad. I have never a spoken about an A or a B team, of a first XI or substitutes, nothing. I have always said the players I work with are the team that represents Mexico and will represent the country at the Copa America. We have a specific plan. We're not going to see if we could upset someone, we're going to beat various countries because Mexico are destined to make it to the final."
