The Lightbulbs' victory put them on 79 points and beyond the reach of second-placed Ajax, who lost the crown after four successive years as champions.
Forward Luuk de Jong got the party started after just three minutes. The 24-year-old connecting with Luciano Narsingh's cross.
The league's top scorer Memphis Depay then took his tally to 20 for the season with a stunning free-kick.
The home fans inside the Philips Stadion were delighted but those smiles soon turned to frowns; central midfielder Joey van den Berg threatening to put the champagne on ice.
