SOUNDBITE: (English) Gianni Infantino, UEFA General Secretary: (on Great Britain not being able to have a football team at the 2016 Olympic Games)

"I wouldn't go to say that it's a shame. I think, I don't know if ever there was a UK team except for the London Olympics but before for many, many years there was no UK team. I think football is a bit of a different animal in this respect when it comes to the participation of the Olympic Games so it's perfectly respectable the decision taken by the four British associations and I don't think it will change the course of the world - neither of the world in general nor of the world of football if there is a UK team or not participating in the Olympic Games."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Gianni Infantino, UEFA General Secretary: (on the crowd trouble at the recent Euro 2016 qualifier between Montenegro and Russia)

"Yes, it's very sad, it's very sad. It's the second match in the European qualifiers, in the qualifiers for the Euro, which had to be abandoned. These are situations that we cannot tolerate, we cannot accept. Sadly, they happen. This means that we have to work even harder on the prevention side to make sure that these situations do not happen but also, of course, on the disciplinary side there will be sanctions taken. There is now a disciplinary investigation going on, proceedings are going on. We will see what the disciplinary bodies will decide but clearly, clearly the message of Michel Platini, of our President, was very clear at the Congress: these are images we don't want to see on our football pitches, we cannot joke with the health of the spectators, with the health of football players, with the health of officials. A football match must be a celebration and we want and we will do anything and we will not stop in front of anything to make sure that football matches are a safe place as we've seen it happens in the vast majority of of matches. But even one match where an incident like this happens is one match too much so we just have to double and triple our efforts to eradicate this."
