Turkish champions Fenerbahce missed out on the chance to go clear at the top of the Super Lig table on Monday (24th November), after being held to a 1-1 draw at Bursaspor.

Bursaspor were in inspiring form when they hosted Turkish Super Lig champions Fenerbahce on Sunday.

Three minutes in, they opened the scoring, through Volkan Sen.

He was left unmarked on the right and sprinted in on goal to produce a cool finish, putting Bursaspor ahead.

The Green Crocodiles were equally dominant after the break, but couldn't find a second goal.

Then, on 66 minutes, Fenerbahce managed to scramble an equaliser.

Former Liverpool midfielder Dirk Kuyt swung over a curling right foot cross and the ball eluded everyone and found the back of the net.

Bursaspor surged forward in search of a winner, but somehow the visiting defence held firm.

Fenerbahce hung on for a 1-1 draw.

After ten games of the season they share top spot with Besiktas on 20 points.

Bursaspor are sitting fifth.
