It was a day for celebration in Belgium, as both Sanne Cant and Wout van Aert won the World Cup Cyclo Cross titles in Koksijde on Saturday.

The women's race started with Cant just managing to steal the win after finishing only six seconds clear of Sabrina Stultiens. Sophie de Boer came third.

The men's race was a sweeping victory for van Aert from early on. The 19 year old managed to pull himself into first halfway into the race, and thundered through with immense power until the end.

The Belgian allowed no chance for competition as he finished 42 seconds clear of second place Kevin Pauwels. Mathieu van der Poel came third.

    SOUNDBITE: (English), Wout van Aert:

"I didn't thought before the race it was possible to go full gas so far from the finish line. I managed to go half the race alone and it was incredible to be in front the last lap with all the crowd was going crazy. I'm so happy."
