SOUNDBITE: (English) Crystal Palace coach, Neil Warnock

"The sooner you get your first win it's a massive relief. I must admit when they put six minutes up I wasn't overly enthusiastic but Anthony Taylor (official) showed me, he wrote it all down on a piece of paper for me - he explained why. We had to defend today, what pleased me today was that they're a good side Everton and we had to hang in there at times and put our heads in and make tackles and blocks - I like that kind of football."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Everton coach, Roberto Martinez

"We scored a very good goal especially from open play, when you can score from open play so early in the game against a team like Crystal Palace, they are magnificent at the things they do. It's a really good example of how the performance was going - but I did think that a that time we'd lost a bit of intent and we didn't have that real drive about us to score that second goal - if we would have scored that second goal in that period. I remember Leon Osmond having a really good chance in the box , if that ball goes in the game is over. And then the action of the penalty is an incredible reward for Crystal Palace - a long ball from Speroni (Julian Speroni) that we have to deal with a lot better. Then from that point the momentum chances, it allows Crystal Palace to have a lot of belief and we were catching up after that, for me it forces a couple of errors and is very uncharacteristic for us to concede three goals from three shots on target."
