SOUNDBITE (English) Ian Bell, England batsman (on fellow batsman Jos Buttler):
"We know how much potential he has, it's huge. That 100 he got against Sri Lanka at Lord's was as good a 100 as you'll ever see in one-day cricket. So we know what he has. Obviously there are going to be different tests along the way in Test cricket. If he comes in and we're in trouble, then he's going to have to try and find a different way. But, if we get a platform like that then there is no one as an exciting young player as you can have coming in at that point, so it's a good thing for us."
SOUNDBITE (English) Ian Bell, England batsman:
"... Certainly in the last four games, we've created opportunities to win Test matches, we just haven't taken them. So it has been frustrating individually and as a team. It's nice to contribute today to certainly getting a big score. As a batting unit we want to get back to those habits where we're 560-declared rather than the bowlers getting us to 450 (runs). It's a nice way to do it and it's a good habit to start."
SOUNDBITE (English) Bhuvneshwar Kumar, India bowler:
"We expect to come back stronger. The wicket is a bit flat [so] it's easy for the batsman. We tried our best, but it's been two long days for us. You can say that we, being a bowling unit tried our best and we stopped them [getting] a good score."
