Manchester City are ready to dip into their sizeable pockets to tempt 17-year-old sensation Matheus Franca across the Atlantic as he continues to impress for Flamengo in Brazil

Manchester City are preparing a 'truckload' of money in an attempt to sign Flamengo's 17-year-old sensation Matheus Franca.

Pep Guardiola's side have dipped into the Brazilian market in recent years with acquisitions of Kayky, Diego Rosa, and Douglas Luiz - who is now at Aston Villa.

And, according to Brazilian outlet Bolavip, Franca could be the latest youngster to swap Brazil for Manchester.

The report states that City are ready to throw a truckload of cash at the younger, who has a €100million (£83million) release clause.

However, Bolavip also claim that Franca won't try and force his way out of the Brazilian club.

Franca is currently the shining star in Flamengo's side at the Copa Sao Paulo, Brazil's annual showcase of its youthful talent.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are also tracking in the youngster, with Los Blancos having a long-running interest in the 17-year-old.

Madrid will be hoping that Franca will follow in the footsteps of Vinicius Jr who also made the jump from Flamengo to Europe.

Los Blancos have also struck up a good relationship with Flamengo over the years, with Reinier also making the trip across the Atlantic.

City have also been linked with Santos' Weslley Patati, who also had a €100million release clause, since the turn of the year.

And Guardiola's side are reportedly looking at 15-year-old Endrick who has shone for Palmeiras U20s, and he has been compared to Ronaldo in Brazil.
