Wayne Rooney's Amazon Prime Documentary 'ROONEY' Will Drop In February, The Trailer Looks Brilliant

It has been confirmed that Wayne Rooney's new Amazon Prime documentary will officially drop on February 11th 2022. You can see the trailer below.

In the above clip, former Manchester United and England teammate Gary Neville speaks about Rooney's temper, both on and off the pitch.

"He played like he's a street kid," Neville told the documentary. "Of course, he threw the odd punch, but I never saw him throw a punch when they didn't deserve it."

Rooney also speaks about growing up in Croxteth, Liverpool. "I was brought up to fight... fight for everything," he says. "That will never leave me.

"I grew up in Croxteth. If you're from there, you don't think it's a violent place. But I've had full on arguments with my dad and he'd give me a slap.

"I wasn't the nicest kid. I had a lot of fights when I was younger."

The former Everton, Manchester United and England striker, who memorably introduced himself to the Old Trafford faithful with a Champions League hat-trick against Fenerbahce, lifted five Premier League titles during a trophy-laden spell at Old Trafford,

He went on to score a further 250 goals for the club in all competitions to make him their top goalscorer of all time. In fact, the 183 Premier League goals he scored for United remains the most scored by a player for any single club.

Rooney, the only player to score 200+ goals and provide 100+ assists in Premier League history, is the top flight's second-top goalscorer of all time, only behind Alan Shearer.

He has achieved more in his glittering career than most but despite many notable highs, his career has been met with some memorable lows; something that will be detailed in this special documentary.
