Liverpool are looking to add two new attacking options to their squad during the January transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly named Harvey Barnes and Luka Jovic as his main targets, with both fitting his style of play.

According to Fichajes, the German is keen to look to the future and find players who could slowly replace his current front three in the next few years.

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have been one of the best attacks in Premier League history, but are aged 29, 29 and 30 respectively.

While they remain in good form and don’t look like slowing down, Liverpool will still need to look towards the long-term.

Out of the players scouted by the Reds’ sporting director Michael Edwards, Barnes has been selected as one of Klopp’s favourites.

The Leicester City winger has enjoyed an impressive few seasons, demonstrating both the ability to press as well as having a natural talent with the ball.

Last year, injury limited him to only 25 games in the league, but in that time, he scored nine and assisted four.

One of those goals came against Liverpool at the King Power Stadium back in February, where he claimed a third for the Foxes in a 3-1 win.

Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic is another player who is on the radar of the Reds.

It is believed the 23-year-old could provide different solutions to the side in the more difficult games.

The Serbian has struggled since heading to the Spanish capital from Eintracht Frankfurt and is reportedly eager to leave in order to find more opportunities at another club.

Although he wouldn’t arrive at Anfield as a first choice, it may be a chance for him to rebuild his career and find his footing again after a turbulent time.
