Real Madrid's Mbappe dream could come true

Paris Saint-Germain look to have accepted defeat in their battle to keep Kylian Mbappe at the club, with the forward refusing to accept multiple offers to renew his contract.

This will be music to the ears of Florentino Perez and anyone associated with Real Madrid, as the club's long game with the forward seemingly paying off, with now genuine hope arising that a deal could be done this summer.

The Frenchman's current deal expires next summer, meaning that PSG could lose him on a free in 12 months, albeit while getting a season out of him alongside Leo Messi and Neymar.

As such, the Ligue 1 side are getting prepared for the potential sale of the player according to RMC in France, something which, until now, had not been uttered in the French media.

The same outlet on Monday announced that Mbappe had rejected PSG's latest contract offer of five plus one season.

The offer included a notable salary increase but the player rejected it, just as he did with the previous proposals.

As a result, PSG are considering replacements for Mbappe, with Everton's Brazilian international Richarlison high on the list, following the direct recommendation from Neymar.

Real Madrid's patience

According to RMC, PSG have not yet received an offer from Real Madrid, yet a bid from a Premier League club has come in.

However, Real Madrid's long-term interest and Perez's strategy behind the transfer have them in pole position. Mbappe is determined to win football's biggest prizes and is the main thinking behind a possible move.

With Los Blancos' illustrious history in the Champions League, Mbappe would be well placed to gain the trophy he so dearly craves.

From Madrid's perspective, sealing one of the outstanding talents in world football at such a young age and complicated economic period would spell an enormous coup, and it now appears as though it could well happen.
