Cleared up the Portuguese forward's future
Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo has no intention of leaving the club this summer.
The 36-year-old has one year left on his contract at Juventus and has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in the last few weeks.
However, that led to Cristiano Ronaldo doing an Instagram post in which he lambasted the rumours about his future.
Then, during Saturday's pre-match press conference, Allegri stated that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has told him that he is planning to remain at Juventus.
"He has never wanted to leave. He told me that he's staying and he will be in Udine," said Allegri ahead of Juventus' Serie A opener away at Udinese.
"I read rumours in the newspapers, but there was never any desire on his part to leave Juventus."
This will be Cristiano Ronaldo's third campaign as a Juventus player, in which time he has scored 101 goals in 133 games and won two Serie A titles, as well as two Supercoppas Italiana and a Coppa Italia, the only trophy he lifted last season.
