Daniel Sturridge always found his form on the international stages, he scored eight in 26 appearances including goals at Euro 2016 and the 2014 World Cup

The rollercoaster of a career that is Daniel Sturridge’s has taken a turn in yet another direction as he sets his sights on tackling the music industry.

The English striker has been a free agent for over a year after his contract with Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor was mutually terminated. He was also given a fourth-month ban from football at a similar time, March 2020, after he breached betting rules.

The ban was issued as Sturridge told his brother to bet on him leaving Liverpool for Sevilla in 2019, which never actually happened.

Sturridge’s career pre-ban was very stop-start due to recurring injuries keeping him sidelined, though he did find some good form at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers, notably his impressive 2013/14 campaign when he scored 21 in 29 games.

But the 31-year-old may not be completely set on making a return to football, with his recent social media activity indicating that he could be venturing into the world of music.

The post is captioned: “Real recognize real! @repko_ and I have become partners in @embassymg”

He then goes on to tag several producers before saying: “We’re on the lookout for more producers, loop makers and artists to win with. Any artists who want beats hit us up for that – let’s get it!"

Embassy is a record label that produces grime and rap music, with some of the songs that they were recently involved with climbing the charts all over the world.

It is unknown as to whether this may be a complete career change for Sturridge or simply an on-the-side project for him where he can indulge in an hobby; however, the music that Embassy has been producing is doing very well and one can only imagine the former Chelsea star is enjoying with his new venture.
