Spain's Euro 2020 preparations have been thrown into chaos after the positive PCR test results of Sergio Busquets and Diego Llorente in recent days, yet there was some relief on Wednesday evening as the remaining squad members' tests came back negative.

After learning of Diego Llorente's positive just a few hours prior, who already left the camp on Tuesday, the worst was feared among the rest of the squad about a possible outbreak.

The deadline for replacing either injured players, which includes those suffering from COVID-19, has been extended for Spain until Monday, the day of their first game.

However, it is understood that by Sunday, when the team gets on the train to Seville, the final cut will have already been made.

While tests are ongoing, the players continue to train individually. Five days before their opener, Spain are hoping for better luck when it comes to COVID tests and Wednesday proved a welcome respite.
