Chelsea cult hero close to joining Serie A giants

Giroud on the move:
Chelsea cult-hero Olivier Giroud has scored some vital goals for the west London club, including in the 2019 Europa League final against his old club Arsenal.
Swapping North London for West London in January 2018, after Arsenal signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Giroud has scored 39 goals in 119 appearances for the club, and has added the Champions League trophy to his already impressive collection of trophies that includes four FA cups and a Europa League trophy.
He could yet add more trophies to his collection, but it won't be at Stamford Bridge. The 34-year-old striker is "close" to agreeing a move to Serie A giants AC Milan on a free transfer this summer after Chelsea decided not to extend his contract beyond this season.
This means that he will still be playing Champions League football next season, and with AC Milan finishing second in the Serie A this campaign, will be hoping to clinch an Italian title.
It has been a remarkable career already for the Frenchman, known for scoring goals that verge on the spectacular, whilst also having his fair share of misses.
Joining the Gunners from Montpellier in the summer of 2012, he was a mainstay in the Arsenal side for six years, before he was moved on to finance the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Upon joining Chelsea, he found his playing time significantly reduced, but still provided vital goals when called upon.
Playing at the San Siro next season, he will be confident of both more game time and goals as he continues to age like fine wine.
