Jan Oblak insists: Atletico Madrid must decide my future

Jan Oblak insists he won't force a move away from Atletico Madrid this summer.

The Slovenian has had another tremendous season in an Atleti shirt, winning his fifth Zamora trophy in six years, and has two years left on his own contract.

"I can't see the future, neither myself nor the club nor anyone can," Oblak said as part of an interview with MARCA.

"It will depend on a lot of factors, such as if the club needs to sell any players or not."

The 28-year-old's last contract renewal was a drawn-out process, but it had a happy ending for both player and club. Oblak is the top earner in the Atleti squad and, despite his 120 million euro release clause, Europe's elite clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG, maintain an interest in him.

As ever, though, he appears calm and unconcerned about his own future, citing that he still has time left on his current deal.

"I have nothing to say about my future, I have been at Atleti seven years and I have two years left on my contract," he said.

"I have played more than 300 games here and, while I enjoy having won LaLiga Santander, I'm not thinking about anything else.

"I'm here, I'm happy. We'll see what the future brings."
