Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is targeting a summer deal for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Koulibaly played under the Italian for 18 months before Ancelotti was dismissed and has developed into one of the world's most sought-after centre backs.
Ancelotti was quick to do business with his former employer as he brought Allan to Merseyside and he could well be in the running to purchase Koulibaly as well, with the Senegal star's transfer valuation now as low as £35million, compared to the peak of £87m a couple of years ago, says TMW.
Napoli's hand may be forced despite Koulibaly having two years left on his contract, a scenario that would be made more likely if Napoli remain fifth in Serie A and fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
With the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich having previously expressed an interest, Ancelotti could find himself facing stiff competition for Koulibaly's signature.
