The Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, is a relatively well-known character inside Valencia since Peter Lim took over the club in 2014.

However, he emerged on the scene on Monday when he took to social media to speak openly about his plan to buy Los Che.

Aged 36, the prince is the oldest of the five children of Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, whose family's fortune is valued at around 750 million euros, according to Forbes.

The Prince of Johor is set to inherit a luxurious replica 'The Flintstones' mansion, with view of the sea, a nine-story lighthouse, and 17 rooms, including two imperial suites.

Meanwhile, the sultan also owns a Boeing 737 valued at more than 90 million euros and painted in a golden colour, with a 30 seat capacity, various kitchens, lounges and showers.

His son has painted a helicopter's interior in the same colour, but his private plane is more discreet in both size and colour.

Weapons and military discipline are one of the prince's passions, as can be seen by some of the images he shares on his social networks.

He is married with three children and shares a passion for football with Peter Lim.

In fact, as the president of his country's Football Federation, he ordered the construction of an impressive stadium for 40,000 spectators that cost about 200 million euros.

The prince also owns Johor Darul Takzim FC (Johor Tigers), team which features in the Malaysian Super League and signed in former Valencia playmaker Pablo Aimar in the past.

In the summer of 2016 an expedition of several Valencia players, including Jaume Domenech, Santi Mina and Paco Alcacer, were invited to participate in training with the Tigers.

The Los Che players were impressed with the team's training ground that has an 11-a-side football field with artificial pitch and another smaller field that in summer is completely covered, and is cooled down with air conditioning due to the high temperatures and humidity.

Meanwhile, according to Cadena SER the prince was once invited to Barcelona for a trip and was offered a luxurious suite at 10,000 euros a night but turned down the offer because it was not to his liking.
